Add up to 100 addresses total. Your chosen start and finish are part of that list. A ZIP code can help match an address, but a ZIP code by itself is not a precise street stop.

Yes. Before or after optimization, drag stops into the order you want. You can also choose different start and finish addresses, add notes or remove a stop.

A shortest route minimizes miles; a fastest route prioritizes estimated travel time. Sort My Stops uses drive-time estimates to find an efficient stop order. It does not use live traffic or guarantee a mathematical optimum.

Yes. After optimization, copy a route link, show a QR code, print the ordered list or send route segments to your phone. Anyone with a shared link may be able to read its addresses and notes.

Yes. Generate QR codes for the full route in navigation-app-sized segments or print a QR pack. The separate mobile checklist is limited to its first 25 stops.

Yes. The print view shows the optimized stop order, addresses, notes and estimated time and distance between stops. Check private notes before printing or sharing the page.

Yes. Notes can hold ordinary reminders and appear in print and for stops included in the first-25-stop mobile checklist. They may also be encoded in a shared route URL, so do not include passwords, access codes, medical details or other sensitive personal data.

Yes. You can paste a list from Excel or Google Sheets, or import a CSV, TXT, TSV or XLSX file.

No. The US planner is intended for ordinary car and van routes. It does not apply commercial-truck restrictions, vehicle dimensions, hazmat rules or bike routing.

Persistent drafts and recent routes are stored in your browser, not in an account history. Addresses, coordinates, settings and notes are still processed through the site's API, and selected address text or coordinates go to geocoding and routing providers. When a state is clear and its source has passed the site's checks, suggestions combine that official state address service with Photon using OpenStreetMap data. Complete-address and import fallbacks can use the U.S. Census Geocoder; its coordinates may be interpolated along address ranges. Map clicks use the free official/Photon combination first.

After optimization, choose Google Maps in the route actions. Sort My Stops passes the addresses in optimized order and divides a long route into segments that fit Google's location limit. Google Maps then provides navigation.

Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze and OsmAnd are supported. Sort My Stops chooses the order; the selected app handles turn-by-turn directions and current traffic. Links use readable addresses first and coordinates only when needed.

Your chosen start and finish stay fixed. Only the stops between them are reordered. If a time-sensitive intermediate stop must stay near a particular time, optimize a baseline first and then drag that stop into place manually.

Sort My Stops covers the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC. Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories and locations outside the service area are rejected before a route is calculated.

No free planner is literally unlimited. Sort My Stops accepts 100 addresses total per route, with no account or published daily route quota. Fair-use and rate limits still apply, and multi-driver jobs need dispatch software.See the comparison →

They are planning estimates based on routing-provider road data, not live traffic. Construction, weather, parking, closures and vehicle restrictions can change the real trip. Review the route and check current conditions in your navigation app before leaving.

Not yet in the free planner. If avoiding tolls matters on a particular leg, set those preferences in your navigation app once the route is open there.

No. Sort My Stops optimizes one route for one driver. It does not divide a stop list among vehicles, balance workloads or dispatch a fleet.Get in touch →

No. Address checking and drive-time calculations require an internet connection. Open the route or its QR segments before leaving. Any offline navigation behavior after that depends on the navigation app you choose.
