What free means here
Free products in this category use different limits. Some cap stops and others cap daily optimizations. Sort My Stops states its limits before you begin: up to 100 entered addresses per route and no published daily route quota. Fair-use and short-term rate limits still protect the service. Capacity is only one part of the product.
Sort My Stops is the American edition of a planner available in several European markets. The US edition has its own address coverage and provider setup, while the focused one-driver workflow remains free.
Fleet assignment, individual appointment windows, different service durations, proof of delivery and truck restrictions are different jobs. The current planner remains focused on one driver optimizing one route.

Is Sort My Stops really free?
Yes. There is no account, card, expiring trial or paid tier. The current planner features are available without an upgrade prompt.
What is the catch?
Scope. This is a single-driver planner: one route at a time, no enforced time windows, no proof of delivery and no public API. If you need fleet dispatch, this is not the right product.
How can you offer 100 stops for free?
Keeping the focused single-driver optimizer free is a product decision. It uses a mix of public map data and routing services, and it avoids the fleet-management features that usually require a paid product.
Will it stay free?
The intention is to keep the current single-driver planner free, but an indefinite pricing guarantee would be misleading. Any future price or limit change will be published on this page before it applies.
Do you sell my addresses?
No. Persistent drafts stay in your browser, while route data is processed by the site's API and selected geocoding or routing providers. There is no account-based profile and route data is not sold for advertising. See the privacy page for the full data flow.
I need multiple drivers or time windows. What now?
Use dispatch or field-service software that supports those requirements. You can still email contact@sortmystops.com to describe the workflow, but the current planner will not split or schedule it.
